Eileen P. Flynn has been a Professor at Saint Peter's University in Jersey City, New Jersey, since 1984. Her academic competence is in issues of applied ethics, and Dr. Flynn has written sixteen books and numerous articles addressing ethical issues within the Catholic Church and in the broader society. In 2003, her work Catholics at a Crossroads: Coverup, Crisis and Cure was published by Cosimo. This book was praised for its balance and insight in examining the sexual abuse crisis in the Church. More recently, Dr. Flynn has published books about the so-called war on terror and the financial crisis of 2008.
She resides in Ocean County, New Jersey, with her husband, John J. Flynn, and enjoys time spent with her family, including five wonderful grandchildren.
